Sunday, April 5, the Copper Robot interviews three of the cast members of the Web sitcom The Guild, which tells the story of the real lives — such as they are — of a group of players in a medieval online game. Our guests will be Felicia Day, who also starred on Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, as well as actors Sandeep Parikh and Jeff Lewis.

The Guild gleefully plays with every stereotype about online gamers: Anti-social, obsessive — one of them is actually a grown man who lives with his mother (I can’t remember if he lives in her basement or not).

Felicia plays Codex on The Guild, the befuddled redhead who opens each episode by talking to the camera. In addition to her work on The Guild and Dr. Horrible, Felicia appeared as Vi, the potential slayer, on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She also has a recurring role in four episodes of the current ABC Family sitcom Roommates.

Jeff plays the fussy guildmaster Vork. He’s an alumni of Acme comedy theater, the Groundlings, and Second City. He wrote and acted in HBO’s Sketch pad 2, and wrote for Nickelodeon’s Catscratch and Dreamwork Animation’s Toonsylvania. He finished a screenplay, For Christ’s Sake, and appeared on My Name Is Earl.

Sandeep, who plays the priapic Zaboo, is primarily a writer/director. He created the Comedy Central-produced Web series The Legend of Neil, about a guy who gets sucked into Zelda. He founded and runs EffinFunny, a standup and sketch comedy community.

Catch the interview Sunday, April 5, live at 6 pm Pacific/Second Life time at the Seaside Theater on World2Worlds Island or listen to the podcast here later.
